12-Month Extended Warranty – Terms & Conditions
1. Overview
The Lasertech / Mantech UK 12-Month Extended Warranty (“Extended Warranty”) provides continued protection for your machine once the standard manufacturer’s warranty has expired.
This agreement covers internal component failures arising from normal use and includes engineer call-outs, labour, and remote support.
This Extended Warranty is valid for 12 months only and cannot commence without the required initial service, which is included within the agreement price.
2. Eligibility
To qualify for the Extended Warranty:
2.1 It must be in reasonable working condition at the time of application.
2.2 The mandatory full service must be completed by an authorised engineer.
2.3 The customer must have adhered to standard maintenance requirements prior to application.
3. Initial Service Requirement
3.1 The Extended Warranty begins only after a full, top-to-bottom machine service has been completed by an authorised engineer.
3.2 This initial service is included within the Extended Warranty agreement price.
3.3 If faults requiring repair are discovered during the service, repairs may be required (chargeable if outside normal wear) before coverage can begin.
3.4 If the machine is found during the initial service to be badly damaged, heavily modified, unsafe, or otherwise unsuitable for Extended Warranty coverage, the Supplier reserves the right to reject the application. *In this situation, the cost of the initial service remains payable as it has been completed, and any remaining balance paid toward the Extended Warranty will be refunded to the customer minus the service cost.
3.5 Machines that cannot be made safe or mechanically sound may be refused warranty at the Supplier’s discretion.
4. What’s Included
4.1 Unlimited Engineer Call-Outs
For qualifying faults that fall within warranty coverage.
4.2 Unlimited Remote Support
Telephone support and remote diagnostics during normal business hours.
4.3 Parts & Labour Cover
Coverage includes internal components that fail through normal use, including but not limited to:
Internal power supplies and wiring
Control panel and electronics
Safety systems and sensors
Motion components (motors, drives, controllers – excluding wear items)
Head assembly (excluding consumable parts such as lenses/nozzles)
Internal components of the supplied chiller
Internal extraction components (if supplied with the machine)
Replaced parts may be new or refurbished at the Supplier’s discretion. Replacement parts do not extend the warranty period.
5. What’s Not Included
5.1 Consumables & Wear Items
Lenses
Mirrors
Nozzles
Filters
Belts (where wear-related)
Fuses/lamps
Lubricants
Other general wear items
Laser goggles or any other PPE
5.2 External Equipment
Stand-alone extraction systems
Ducting or hoses
Customer-installed accessories
Third-party modifications
5.3 Damage Caused By
Misuse, operator error, or lack of training
Neglect or poor maintenance
Contamination, dust ingress, or an unsuitable environment
Cutting materials outside the machine’s specification
Incorrect electrical supply, surges, or poor earthing
Accidental damage, fire, water, impact or drops
Relocating or moving the machine without approval
Non-authorised repairs or tampering
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
6.1 Follow the machine’s maintenance schedules and keep it in good working order.
6.2 Use only approved consumables when applicable.
6.3 Ensure the machine is operated by trained personnel.
6.4 Report issues promptly to the Supplier’s service team.
6.5 Provide suitable access to the machine for engineer visits.
Failure to meet these obligations may void warranty coverage.
7. Service & Call-Out Process
7.1 All faults must be reported through official Lasertech / Mantech UK service channels.
7.2 Remote diagnostics may be required before an engineer visit is scheduled.
7.3 If an onsite engineer determines the fault is non-warranty (e.g., caused by misuse, consumables, or environment), call-out and repair charges may apply.
7.4 Engineer response times are reasonable effort and depend on location and demand.
8. Duration, Renewal & Transfer
8.1 The Extended Warranty covers a period of 12 months from the date the initial service is completed.
8.2 The warranty does not automatically renew; a new agreement is required.
8.3 Renewal may require an additional service.
8.4 The warranty is not transferable without written approval.
9. Limitations of Liability
9.1 The Supplier’s liability is limited to the repair or replacement of covered components.
9.2 The Supplier is not liable for:
Lost production or business interruption
Material waste or scrap
Labour costs outside its own service team
Financial or consequential losses
9.3 Maximum liability is capped at the original purchase price of the machine.
10. Governing Law
This Extended Warranty is governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the English courts.
