The Mantech team is gearing up for an incredible challenge – the 3 Peaks Challenge – all in the name of charity! Our dedicated team will be tackling the highest peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales to raise much-needed funds for Helping Hands, a Birmingham-based charity that provides essential support to the homeless.

The 3 Peaks Challenge – A True Test of Endurance ⛰️💪

This isn’t just any hike—it’s one of the toughest endurance challenges in the UK. The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest mountains in Great Britain:

🗻 Ben Nevis (Scotland) – 1,345m (4,413ft)
🏔️ Scafell Pike (England) – 978m (3,209ft)
⛰️ Snowdon (Wales) – 1,085m (3,560ft)

What makes this challenge truly demanding is the time limit—teams must complete all three climbs within 24 hours, battling exhaustion, unpredictable weather, and over 23 miles of hiking with an elevation gain of more than 3,000m! On top of that, there are over 450 miles of driving between the peaks, making it a relentless test of stamina, mental resilience, and teamwork.
Despite the grueling conditions, our team is determined to push through in support of a truly worthy cause.

Why Are We Doing This?

Recently in 2024, tragedy struck Helping Hands when a devastating fire destroyed their warehouse, wiping out crucial supplies – food, clothing, and equipment – that countless homeless individuals rely on. This disaster has left the charity struggling to continue its vital work, and we’re stepping up to help them get back on their feet.

Our goal is not only to replace lost supplies but to also secure a new warehouse and fund the rent for 12 months as the warehouse they are in now is too small to allow for full operations, ensuring Helping Hands can continue to provide the support that so many vulnerable individuals need.
