Sign making can be a very rewarding industry, being able to create a portal into customers businesses in a range of ways from simple flat CNC cut letters to illuminated sign trays with stencil cut apertures to applying print to sign trays and making 3D aluminium letters that can be powder coated and illuminated with bright led lights.
Not so long ago most sign companies would produce their shaped panels by hand using a hand router or even a saw! This is still the case today.
What if you could produce flat cut acrylic letters, dibond/foamex building signs and so much more, all done at high speed and with laser-like accuracy? Being able to produce panels repeatedly that are accurate and in high quantity, has never been easier. Buying a CNC router is a major process for any business but it’s also a very rewarding one.
Think of a CNC router as a form of automation. Taking those difficult to replicate tasks and churning them out, again and again, increases your business’s productivity and profit.
We have several CNC routing solutions that would be perfectly suited to sign making. First up is our Apollo M CNC router range. This high specification yet surprisingly affordable CNC machine is available in a variety of bed sizes:
1300 x 1300 mm, 1300 x 2500 mm, 1500 x 3000 mm and 2000 x 3000 mm. Each of these bed sizes can cover the smallest to even the largest of sign workshops (custom sizes also available).
With our Apollo M range of CNC routers, you also get a high performance 7.5 kW air-cooled spindle capable of producing up to 24,000 rpm. With the perfect blend of performance and accuracy our spindles can cut a huge range of materials, too many to list but here is a small sample:
The Apollo M CNC router range is also capable of cutting up to speeds of 20m per min with their rapid hybrid stepper motor drives. They also utilise a helical rack & pinion on the X & Y with reciprocal ball screws on the Z-axis thus creating the optimum environment for impressive accuracy and repeatability.
As you would expect our Apollo range is also supplied with a multi-zoned matrix, vacuum bed for holding down your materials. Combined with a quad bag dust extraction system to remove the swarf from the surface of your cutting surface.
If you are looking for a CNC router that can increase your productivity and not break the bank, our Apollo M CNC router range is extremely adept at producing all your sign making projects.
Need to be even more productive? Want to save even more time on sign production work? We have the perfect CNC router solution, our Apollo ATC CNC Routers.
What does ATC stand for?
Automatic tool change. This range of CNC comes complete with a 9.0 KW ER32 air-cooled spindle system that also operates at up to 24,000 rpm.
There are differences between our standard air-cooled Merlin spindle, the main difference is you can program the Apollo to automatically pick up the next tool required in the job. This is done without any interaction from the operator ensuring production only stops when changing materials.
Available in the following bed sizes suited to all sign making work:
1300 x 2500 mm, 1500 x 3000mm, 2000 x 3000 mm (custom sizes also available)
Something new for 2020 is our new in-house developed motion control system called M-TECH. This will be a great benefit to all our customers both new and old, as it is also available as a retro fit system for our own older models.
The benefits to our customers are increased in-house knowledge base (eventually we will be running only one control system for CNC & Plasma Cutters) and increased performance and options. Having total control over our own developed motion controller will enable us to move faster on service and increase the development of new features.
Our CNC routers are also supplied with modular safety fences combined with optical IR guarding. ManTech’s whole range of CNC routers also comes with excellent software for designing your sign projects which is also used for assigning different tool paths to drawings. We supply our machines with Vectric V Carve Pro (click the link to find out more about V Carve).
With a range of bed sizes and options to suit most needs, we can provide you with quality machinery that is both reliable and performance-driven. Just look through the number of installations we have in our installation section.
